Award Ceremony in 2017

Award Winner 2017

Winner of the Intra.NET award 2017 in the category ‘Intranet Integration, Strategy & Digital Workplace Management’ was ABB Ltd with their project ‘Inside+’. The new platform is a state-of-the-art Intranet which meets today’s user expectations and simply makes their lives easier by providing a seamless user experience, easy integration with different tools and fast access to ABB’s whole offerings suite. It is furthermore built on latest responsive design technology and is accessible from any device, anywhere and anytime.

Winner of the Intra.NET award 2017 in the category ‘User Experience Design & Content Management’ was Norsk Hydro with their ‘Intranet simplification project’. Norsk Hydro achieved an overall improvement of their intranet, making it an up-to-date, modern digital platform for their managers and employees. The intranet is their main global internal communication channel, where managers and employees can access and share information, provide guidance and direction, and where the company can deploy business systems across staff and business areas, including business area specific systems, corporate directives and guidelines, steering documents and procedures.

The award in the third category ‘Innovative Technology Integration’ was won by the Anthony Veder Group with their project ‘The Bridge’. Their ‘Work Smarter’ program made it easier for employees to set priorities and enabled easy access to information from all locations and therefore improved communication significantly. They were able to save 33 minutes per employee per day, which translates into 350.000 Euro savings per year. The Bridge presents the status ‘as is’, helping to focus discussions on outcome rather than on who has the right information.

In addition to the three categories, we.CONECT also launched a new category ‘Special Jury award’, which was won by Pandora with their project ‘Infora’. Based on the jury’s feedback they received outstanding scores in all three categories and therefore deserved a special recognition. They created a cohesive solution, bringing together various tools into a single, seamless platform that’s accessible on any device for all employees worldwide. With the launch of Infora, PANDORA has moved towards their ultimate goal of global connectivity through a united and seamless platform.

Award Winner 2015

Winner of the Intra.NET Award 2015 in the category ‘Intranet Integration Strategy & Digital Workplace Management’ was KPN for their TeamKPN project. The project focussed on increasing the impact of the platform, positioning it as the platform for employee engagement and strategic alignment and fully integrated it in internal communications for all employees. The TeamKPN 2.0 project achieved these goals by increasing user experience, managing user generated content and coaching senior leaders in the use of the platform.

Winner of the Intra.NET Award 2015 in the category ‘User Experience Design & Content Management’ was Allianz Turkey with their intranet project social@allianz. According to Fatmanur Erdoğan, Head of Corporate Communications at Allianz Turkey: “social@allianz is not a typical intranet where employees create all content by themselves. Instead they have created a culture change which has affected the consumer behaviour accordingly. The intranet platform aims at providing interaction, co-creation, collaboration and engagement concepts to answer the technological developments and expectations of the Generation Y.

According to Roche Head of Corporate Communications Stephan Feldhaus’ vision: “Every day RocheNet gives each employee world-wide a single point of access to the information, applications and expertise they need in order to make decisions that will support the achievement of business objectives, maintain the core values of the company and enable them to develop their careers at Roche.” The Roche intranet team therefore thrived to align their strategy to the company goals: by 2025 digital natives will make up 50% of their workforce.

Charity Partner 2017

DKMS is a not for profit organization and was founded on May 28, 1991, by a private initiative and due to the blood cancer patient Mechtild Harf. With more than 7.1 million registered stem cell donors and international locations like Germany, the USA, Poland, Spain, and the UK, the DKMS family is the largest association of stem cell donor centers worldwide. At the present time, at least 18 DKMS members donate stem cells for blood cancer patients around the world each and every day.

Every 15 minutes someone is diagnosed with blood cancer in Germany. Whether children or adults – no one is safe from this disease but with the donation of stem cells, we may be able to defeat blood cancer. For a transplant of stem cells to be successful, the patient’s and donor’s tissue characteristics need  to be an almost exact match – which is a challenge, since the probability of finding a perfect match lies anywhere between 1 in 20,000 and 1 in several millions. Therefore we need to get as many people as possible registered, to increase the chances of finding a matching donor for every blood cancer patient.

In principle, anyone between 17 and 55 years of age can be registered as a potential stem cell donor. The most important thing is that you are physically fit, do not suffer from any chronic diseases, and you don’t belong to any risk groups. Your tissue characteristics are determined by just using a simple swab from the inside of your cheek or by a blood sample. After providing DKMS with your swabs or blood samples and your signed consent form, you can be a part of the DKMS family – and get the opportunity to give a blood cancer patient a second chance at life. Individuals as well as entire families, companies, associations, and many celebrities have joined us in serving a good cause – with more and more signing up each and every day.
