With more than 16 years of IT business and technology consulting experience and a focus on large deployments at fortune 500 companies, Marco Schmucker is Lead Architect at Alight Consulting.

As a translator between business and IT, he supports companies in understanding modern collaboration and publishing technologies based on Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint since version 2001, and Azure application, and fitting business requirements to technology. During Envisioning workshops, user stories are mapped to features, and ECM roadmaps are planned  for strategic positioning of enterprise content and collaboration platforms to create the intelligent workplace. His skill set include social intranet platforms from analysis to go-live, along with IT and end user trainings to make the most out of the new platform. He has been working with add-on products from Beezy, or introducing Yammer as part of a social intranet and communication strategy.

His specialties are Microsoft SharePoint technologies from 2001 to 2016, Office 365 services for social collaboration, enterprise search technologies, forms and workflows, as well as document management and archiving. He has long-term experiences with IT project management with off-shore and nearshore resources.
