Markus ist Senior Expert Communications bei Erste Group Bank AG (seit 2020). Zuvor war er dort als Expert Communications (2017–2020) und Communications Specialist (2016–2017) tätig. Davor arbeitete er als Kreditexperte bei Sparkasse Scheibbs (2011–2015) sowie als Kundenbetreuer bei Sparkasse Amstetten (2008–2011) und Erste Bank (2004–2008).
