Over the past six years, Nikita Skitsko has led workplace transformation at Eesti Energia (known internationally as Enefit). The journey began with the adoption of Office 365 and has since evolved into a comprehensive Digital Workplace initiative, encompassing hardware, productivity software, and numerous additional services that enable effective collaboration, mobility, and connectivity. The Digital Workplace team is responsible for selecting, designing, technically implementing, and adopting new productivity tools that help organization to achieve more.

Nikita is particularly passionate about hearing feedback from users who have experienced the positive impact of the technologies implemented. He finds it exciting to learn how these tools have helped users achieve greater peace, improved work-life balance, or enhanced the quality of their work. For Nikita, the Digital Workplace is not merely about technology; rather, it is focused on providing people with the best possible environment to perform meaningful work, utilizing the finest hardware and tools available. This approach fosters engagement, wellbeing, and innovation, ultimately benefiting the entire organization.

Enefit is an energy group that consists of more than 20 companies and employs about 5,300 people. Enefit is the biggest energy producer and one of the biggest producers of renewable energy in the Baltics. The company produces energy from oil shale, wind, biomass, and mixed municipal waste. There are in total 22 wind parks, 38 solar power parks, four CHP plants, a pellet plant and a hydroelectric power plant. Besides Estonia, Enefit is also active in Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Finland. The company is established in 1939, it is the largest company in Estonia and its sole shareholder is the Republic of Estonia. Enefit’s ambition: • To increase renewable energy production four times by 2025. • Cease electricity production from oil shale by 2030 at the latest. • To achieve carbon-neutral electricity production by 2035. • To transform our production of liquid fuels into a chemical industry based on the circular economy. • All Eesti Energia's production will be carbon neutral by 2045.
