I have spent the last 1 1/2 decade or so introducing key US-based technology solutions to Europe, largely in a sales capacity but with a strong technical foundation.
What I’ve come to understand is that very few people seem to successfully straddle the technical and commercial elements of an organisation to gain a deep understanding of how the two impact each other – and how vital each is to the other.
My first professional role post-study was as a software engineer at Teamwork AG working with various municipal organisations to manage their internal office systems (based on Lotus Notes), soon after I joined Elephant Seven, a well-established creative agency in a project management role looking after clients including Mercedes Benz and Deutsche Post.
With webtrends I did everything from post-sales, consultancy, analytics and big data for the likes of BMW, I also worked closely with Deutsche Telecom on their content strategy before moving to Brightcove, where my remit demonstrating the value of video within the enterprise space really paved the way for my following roles.
My interest is everything but video, in the online video media business as well as within enterprises for the external and internal communication. Video is the most effictive way to send your message and has the highest attention.
